Half northern and half southern of Vietnam by blood, catalpulted between North America and Asia, with a couple of random stops in between, for almost half of my life now, I have pessimistically thought, at times, that I have a mixed case of identity. Others of further leniency would call me a third culture kid. Some say it’s a blessing, Some deem it a loss of my roots.
I try to embrace it
– this constantly-traveling lens that I have acquired – A perception that moves through all the experience I’ve been through to reflect on the ones I’m going through. But at the same time, I write from what I consider most to be home and at heart – being a Hanoian.
On this blog, you’ll find my “Snap It!”s and Snippets of my life in Hanoi as well as in other places I’ve lived in or traveled to. Travel is my passion, Photography is my love and Writing is my freedom- a lightness of being. To focus yet not stressfully so. To confront present problems and revisit past memories yet very soothingly so. To purely make happiness literal and sadness another mere line of words.
Follow the Nikon and life lens of this Hanoian as she ventures out and about, in discovery of herself and the world around her!
***Update: 2012/2013: Wish me luck in London! I’m off to pursue a Masters in Journalism and will keep updated of my year here ^^
